Recent Zogby Polls show that obama voters know practically nothing about him but they could identify with almost 90% certainty scandals like Palin's wardrobe and pregnant daughter. Well, you know I'm pointing the finger at the biased liberal media. Is it not their responsibility to inform the public?

While the media bias is troubling, what I find even more disturbing is the inability of so many people to see through it. Otherwise intelligent individuals have such little background knowledge in history and economics that they fall victim to liberal stereotypes and talking points such as: "Dems are for the poor; Reps are for the rich," and "Wall Steet greed is to blame for economic problems."
In my opinion, the highest priority for conservatives must be to drive home the following point: "Democracy undermines freedom when voters believe they can live off of others' productivity."
It is true that we have suffered a loss with the election of BO and congressional bulshoviks; nonetheless, we must press on. There is no natural, historic, or social law that prevents us from putting an end to the politics of plunder. We can change minds through education. The spell of entitlement cast by OB's marketing machine can be broken.
What’s really frustrating about all of this is the roll that identity politics played in this election. Obama’s racial identity was more important than any policy position he took. Young people who voted overwhelmingly for him will say that they have risen above race by proudly voting for a black man for president, yet they cannot articulate a single policy position that the man stands on. In essence they are just as caught up with racial identity as a white supremacist who voted against Obama because he is not white.
Shelby Steele has some very interesting things to say about this in an interview on National Review Online. When asked about the real policies that Obama supports he points out, correctly, that they are essentially a rehash of the New Deal and Great Society programs of the last century. There is more focus on social justice and redistribution than real change. Here’s a quote…
"No white candidate in America could have won an election based on those policies. That’s the interesting and insidious thing to me. No white man—John Edwards could never have won an election based on policies like that. So the price America is paying for its racial history is this reversion. And that same racial moral authority is going to be Obama’s biggest weapon as president. Who is going to want to stand in his way? Because whites are still motivated by race, the dummies."
Dummies is right. I encourage you to watch the whole series…
